Women @ ISMAR
ISMAR 2026 is pleased to launch Women @ ISMAR, a new community initiative dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and building lasting professional networks among women in the ISMAR community.
Our vision is to strengthen the ISMAR community by creating opportunities for participants to connect across career stages, institutions, countries, and sectors. Whether you are a student attending your first ISMAR, an early-career researcher establishing your professional network, or an experienced academic or industry leader, Women @ ISMAR aims to facilitate conversations, mentorship, collaboration, and relationships that extend well beyond the conference.
As this is the inaugural Women in ISMAR program, we invite the community to help shape its direction. The activities offered during ISMAR 2026 will be informed by participant interest and may include networking events, mentoring circles, panel discussions, research-focused conversations, social gatherings, and other opportunities to connect with colleagues and build new collaborations.

Your feedback will help us understand community interests, plan activities that are most valuable to participants, and establish a foundation for Women @ ISMAR as an enduring part of future ISMAR conferences.

Interested in participating?
To help us plan the inaugural Women @ ISMAR program, we encourage you to submit your expression of interest by August 30. Early responses will directly inform the activities and events we organize for ISMAR 2026. We will continue to welcome expressions of interest after this date; however, activities may already be finalized.
